The above list is current and includes memberships received through Jan. '10. If your name is not on the list, you are currently not a member of Octavia/Smithville Fire Department.
Please consider becoming a member because, "not only does your fire department NEED you, but you may NEED your fire department." The fire department not only works fires, but is called out for accidents, medical emergencies, etc. It's through our membership dues and fund raisers that we are able to keep fuel in the trucks, repairs made, and equipment updated.

We still lack sufficient turnout gear for our fire fighters as well as some other critical equipment. Our goal as a fire department is to provide our community with the best protection that we can, and that takes all of us working together to support the effort.
